As our members know, I know NOTHING about Facebook and have somehow manage to get 2 pages going. I've been told one is a personal page and the other a group page. I'm clueless, so please post any tips you may have to get this campaign off the ground! Here's the group page:
www.facebook.com/pages/Save-Millsberry/154915024545523 Click LIKE on that page!! We need as many LIKES as we can possibly get!

Hi Becky, I hope you don't mind me offering an opinion here. I design websites and deal with getting site hits and search engine optimization on a daily basis, so I know a little bit about promoting a site or group. If you truly want this to have an impact, you need to do a couple of things. 1. Edit your post and remove the first Facebook link. You need to avoid confusion and go with one. The page is definitely the one you want to go with. Keep this link: www.facebook.com/pages/Save-Millsberry/1549150245455232. You need to search Facebook for existing Millsberry pages and/or groups and post a message on each with a link to your Save Millsberry page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Save-Millsberry/154915024545523) urging them to join and post on the wall. 3. You need to contact other Millsberry forums and groups online ASAP and get them to join forces with you and join your Facebook group. 4. Have members here contact all of their friends that play to join the Facebook group. 5. Keep the Facebook group active daily. Lots of small "Save Millsberry" groups springing up will likely not sway General Mills. But one, large organized group might make a difference. Also, it wouldn't hurt for people posting at Facebook to mention General Mills products that they purchase due to playing Mills. And, if you want to go there, you can also consider a boycott. But that won't be effective with small numbers of people. Hope this helps and best of luck! Feel free to edit or delete this post as you deem necessary. Deborah aka maxwhipp

That's why I asked for tips. ;D Done! Took me awhile to figure out how to do this but, done! Hopefully our members who belong to other forums can help out with this one. I'm not involved with any forum except for ours. Yes, please, everyone... spread the word! This is definitely my plan! Yes, thank you so much!!

Is this a safe thing to do..? Ya'll aren't using real facebook accounts right? ~likeitornot34~ That's questionable. Whatever you feel comfortable doing is fine, Lion. If you don't want to use your personal FB to join the group, that's fine. Many people from MFF have already done so. It's up to you, though.

I used an alternate Facebook account to "Like" the Save Millsberry group. I users will use whatever their most comfortable with, as Spudos mentioned.

Is that really safe?!?! I'm worried. @_@ Could I make a false one? I'm just confused because I thought we weren't even supposed to mention facebook or anything..? ~likeitornot34~ (Modified - After reading my post, I know I sound REALLY paranoid , but I'm just really worried about people getting my information. It's not that I don't trust anyone - I just don't want my information getting across to somebody who claims to be somebody that their not. Does that make sense? I don't have a facebook, so if someone could PM me about it, I think I need to know more about it before making one. Could someone please send a PM my way? Thanks. I do want to join the cause though. I'm going to be calling Mills on Monday for certain - I have to work tomorrow. I also have another question . Do you think we could possibly make a petition, fully written out, with very good, reasonable points, and bring it to the General Mills Representatives and Executives? I think if we bring really good points to the table, we can persuade and inform them that not only has Millsberry become a fun, safe-for-the-family website that every person can enjoy, but also has influenced us greatly throughout the years to connect to people who find Millsberry to be a fabulous and somewhat of a life-changing experience! I know that might sound exaggerated, but think about it. Because of Millsberry, we were able to meet each other, and have a huge impact on each others life - whether what we were dealing with had to deal with Millsberry or not. Millsberry allowed us to make life-long friends, of whom we may never meet in person, but who will always have the impression left in our lives. ANYWAYS I'm not sure if ya'll have done that - probably have - but I think if we all work together to also get other forums to add onto the petition (perhaps Purple can contact Prayer? She joined another forum, right?) - we can get Mills to continue on for many years to come! WOW - this turned out way longer than I expected it to )
